Logitech G9X Gamer’s Mouse Review
With its variable-DPI, very comfortable layout, and a user-configurable form factor, the Logitech G9X mouse definitely looks like it means business and, with some high-tech hardware running the show, it is a great option in the crowded gaming mouse arena. g502 mouse Even with enhanced competition from rivals Microsoft and Razer, the G9X is still one of the best gaming mice on the market.
The G9X embraces customization like no other mouse on the market today and nothing drives the point home like the interchangeable hand grips which now feature the ability to print your picture on the mouse! and, while it sounded crazy to us, the different grips really can make a difference to enhance mouse comfort and, that feature combined with the ability to change the weight, really make the G9X the most customizable mouse on the market. Beyond changing game-enhancing features of this mouse, the mouse also supports the ability to change the LED color of light-up logo and display.
In terms of software-based changes, the G9X features Logitech’s infamous ability to change the scroll type from “frictionless” to “click”-based scrolling; maybe not the most useful feature for games, can be an incredibly handy setting for day-to-day mousing. Using the software, gamers can also change the DPI, which can cover any setting from 200 to 5,000. In our testing, we’ve concluded that the sweet spot for our style of gaming is somehwere between 2,500 – 3,200 DPI, a range where the Logitech handles nicely.
The Logitech software handle up to five customized button profiles which allow gamers to quickly switch between layouts for different games or to switch between gaming and non-gaming modes. The G9X supports on-the-fly DPI changes and uses a small LED screen on the deck to indicate the current setting.
The G9X is an updated version of the already awesome G9. Logitech really nailed it with this mouse and has delivered what is probably the best gaming mouse on the market today.
