If you’re anything like me, you can be totally overwhelmed by all the anti aging skin care products available. There are 1000’s of products each claiming to make your skin look younger and stop the ravages of time.
Do you ever wonder what are the best products for aging skin? I started researching anti aging skin care and what I discovered was upsetting at first. But then I made an important discovery.
Disappointment at the Skin Care Counter
If you know what’s in a lot of the mainstream products you may have been outraged and disappointed too. I can’t think of less skin friendly ingredients that sodium laureth sulfate (SLS)–it strips your skin of vital oils. It’s so good at lathering-and so harsh-it’s used in industrial strength floor cleaners. Imagine using on your face what they’re using to wash the floor at McDonalds. Wow.
And what about parabens? These chemical preservatives are linked to cancer. I don’t know about you but these don’t sound like the best products for aging skin.
There’s a better way.
The Way Skin Ages-And What You Can Do About It
Consider what’s happening to your skin as you get older. Your skin cells aren’t renewing themselves as quickly as they did when they were younger. Particularly your collagen and elastin cells. These are so important because they keep your skin firm and smooth. But they’re breaking down. As a result, you see wrinkles and sagging skin.
Of course, you don’t have to be a victim to this natural aging process. You can use products for aging skin that literally reverse this cell breakdown. It’s not magic. It’s science. If you put the right ingredients into your skin they will jumpstart your cell renewal so your body will make more of these important skin firming cells. There’s a special New Zealand honey that is quite powerful at stimulating your skin cells. Use it and your skin will stay smooth and firm for years longer.
You can also strengthen those cells.
One ingredient that does that is phytessence wakame. This is a Japanese sea kelp used in Japanese skin care for centuries. It destroys an aging enzyme your body produces and makes your collagen and elastin cells stronger.
Plus, antioxidants are hugely important in keeping your skin looking young.
